Position Overview

You will have the opportunity to take on a key role as Windows Administrator Senior in our hosting company, a dynamic environment offering web hosting, dedicated server solutions, and tailored IT services for our clients. Your expertise will directly contribute to the stability, performance, and security of our Windows-based systems, ensuring our clients receive top-notch hosting experiences.

You work from our Prague office or remotely within the Czech Republic. You will collaborate closely with our Internal IT  team and report to the Head of Windows. This role is a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving, and collaboration, allowing you to leave your mark on a fast-evolving infrastructure.

Your Tasks

As Windows Administrator Senior, you will:

• Manage and maintain Windows Server OS, including installation, configuration, patch management, and troubleshooting.
• Administer and optimize Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
• Configure and maintain IIS for hosting web applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Implement and manage security measures, including endpoint protection and secure authentication processes.
• Monitor server performance and proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
• Support client solutions on dedicated servers, providing tailored configurations and troubleshooting as needed.
• Document configurations, changes, and processes to maintain a clear and up-to-date knowledge base.
• Participate in IT security initiatives, including system hardening, audits, and compliance with internal and external standards.
• Assist in evaluating and integrating new technologies to enhance the hosting environment.

Professionally, we expect you to have

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in managing and maintaining Windows Server environments.
• Expertise in Windows Server OS, Active Directory, IIS, DNS, and Group Policy.
• Strong knowledge of PowerShell scripting for automation and system management.
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Familiarity with endpoint protection solutions and security best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues.
• Strong communication skills in written and spoken English.

It is a plus if you have

• Experience in a hosting or cloud environment.
• Knowledge of hybrid setups involving cloud platforms.
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or equivalent.
